Week Word: Novel1 Dec 2011 by: J. BishopThis round of “Week Word” is: Novel, and it was chosen by Emma at The Gift Shed. On Friday, check back in to her blog to see a list everyone who participated in this round, and what their take on the word is! Again, my thought to this weeks word was, the noun or the adjective? So I decided to choose both! Here is my “Novel Novel”… as in, the new way to read a book… from physical to digital.
“Novel Novel” November Photo Scavenger Hunt30 Nov 2011 by: J. BishopAbout a week ago, I was invited by Emma from The Gift Shed to participate in this months Photo Scavenger Hunt. It is usually hosted by Kirst, but she is a bit busy this month! Take a peek at Emma’s post to see all those who are participating. So without further ado, here are five photos I took in the month which work perfect for the November hunt: 1. Inspiration: My first word as a baby was “Moon”, and no doubt, it continues to inspire me to new levels of thought every time I see it. This was a photo I took just at moon-rise. 2. Something I Made: I literally make something every single day, but am particularly proud of these lovely fine art prints I completed for a client of mine this month… her house through all the changing seasons! I just love how they turned out, and have inspired me to do the same for some Christmas gifts… hmmm… ! ;) 3. Motifs: Stripes: An in process photo from working on my Christmas Collage… 4. Comfort: Thanksgiving! This year, my youngest brother moved to Seattle, but I brought a Sheeptails placecard with his name on it for the Thanksgiving dinner table, and sent a photo of it to him… to let him know that he was there with the family no matter what. :) 5. Texture: Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went to a local coffee shop in New Braunfels, Texas where they made us these amazing and beautiful coffees. Mmm. Just little works of art! (I felt a little bad for drinking mine… but only a little!) We thought the designs in the foam looked like a little heart (his), and Christmas Tree (mine).
Category: Collage, Photography Christmas Wine Tree28 Nov 2011 by: J. BishopLast month, I mentioned that we celebrated my 30th birthday in the heart of California Wine County… in Napa Valley. It was so beautiful! We are looking forward to returning some day, but in the mean time, I thought it might be fun to bring a little bit of Napa Valley to us here for the Christmas holiday! The inspiration for this years Christmas Tree: A Wine Tree. Here are a few of the homemade Christmas ornaments I created for the tree! I have a few more ideas on the way!

“Cork Globe” Week Word: Content23 Nov 2011 by: J. BishopI first heard about “Week Word” from Emma at The Gift Shed, and decided it would be fun to participate. For my first round of “Week Word” — the word is: Content, and it was chosen by Sally at Diario. On Friday, check back in to her blog to see a list everyone who is participating and what their take on the word is. My first thought was… the noun or the adjective? I chose the adjective. Who do I know as being the most content in my world? Completely satisfied with the simple things in life. Content to sleep for hours, not letting the rays of sunshine bother his slumber. Happy to eat the same thing everyday, at the same time? My cat Matches! Dreaming about food… ![]() “Content Thoughts”
