In Japanese mythology, the “Kitsune” are believed to possess superior intelligence, long life, and magical powers. They are a type of spiritual entity, and the word “kitsune” is often translated from Japanese as “fox spirit”. Physically, Kitsune aren’t all that dissimilar from a regular fox, but are noted for having as many as nine tails. The more tails… the older and more powerful.
